I love crypto. Most of my net worth is in crypto. I’m learning Ethereum programming to help build the ecosystem. I’m a true believer.

But wow, did you have some very solid criticisms.

There is something I’d like to let you know about. One of the points you mentioned was Bitcoin mining being centralized. That’s a fair criticism.

However, many reputable projects in the space (Ethereum, Cardano, and others) are moving away from mining and to a system called proof-of-stake. Where the transactions are secured by staking your tokens with the system.

There are many benefits such as being more secure, less vulnerable to bad actors, and more decentralized. You can read about the details on Vitalik Buterin’s blog post. He explains it better than I ever could.

I’m not sure what the community can do about the other points you made, if anything. But the tech itself can and will be more decentralized.
